QA TECHNICIAN-TELEOPERATION

Reporting to the Product Owner; the QA Technician of Teleoperation will assist with the testing of all development to ensure that new products and features meet the needed requirements as well as ensure that existing features remain stable and ready for use by customers. This role requires a technical understanding of Hard-Line’s Teleop line of products and how to effectively test their functionality.
Lo que harás
- · Monitor testing backlog
- · Test existing features to ensure these remain unaffected by new development
- · Test new development to ensure it is stable and meets expectations/requirements
- · Maintain a suite of test cases for product functionality and update this as required
- · Assist with bug tracking and fixing
- · Work closely with the software development team and communicate results to them effectively as required
- · Ensure test results are documented, communicated, and made available for other team members (for example: JIRA)
- · Carry out in-house and field testing of equipment and software as required
- · Install, use, and maintain various testing equipment for the QA department
- · Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Post secondary education in a technical field is required
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a QA/QC role would be considered an asset
- Experience working in a software development environment would be considered an asset
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment would be considered an asset

- Possess advanced communication skills both technically and non-technically (verbally and in writing)
- Strong technical and computer skills
- Multitasking and shifting priorities

- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to adapt and learn new skills, technologies
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
- Experience working with software architecture for multiple components across multiple languages
- Experience with tools such as Jira considered an asset
- Experience in robotics, electronics, automation would be considered an asset
- Programming and/or automated testing experience would be considered an asset
- Working knowledge of CAN Bus, Serial, and Ethernet protocols would be considered an asset
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Sitting for extended periods using office equipment
- Office environment
- Travel between office locations may be required
- Working underground may be required
- Working with an interdisciplinary team
